I have a new gateway laptop and it came preloaded with some wild tangent games like bejeweled 2 deluxe, etc. I was wondering if it's safe to play these games from wild tangent. I have a bejeweled 2 deluxe disc game but it's for windows xp and not sure if I can download it on vista. Any help would be appreciated. Also, should I remove the wild tangent games from my laptop?Is Wild Tangent games actually spyware?
Not a spyware. It's just a plug-in that supports family packs of various games that are pretty much free trial versions. Wild Tangent is "gray-area" spyware, some anti-malware vendors will flag it as such, but most won't.
It all depends on your personal level of paranoia, if you are comfortable with some minor tracking.

it isn't spyware, it has some tracking cookies and other things, but those are just to keep your game free. there is no actual danger, but if you like privacy you can remove them
